Next event – Thursday 12 October, 6.30pm for 7.00pm  – Lynda Price – Tyneham Village – Priests House Museum, Wimborne

Lynda Price is a graphic designer and project manager based in Swanage. She has been involved in projects at Tyneham since the creation of the 1920’s schoolroom in 1994. The display in Tyneham Church followed, opened in 2003 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the evacuation of the valley. Lynda produces the information boards and leaflets on display in the village and has been running the Tyneham Farm Project for the Army since 2008.

In recent years, she has worked with The History Centre on the Tyneham Archive. Lynda will use images from this archive to illustrate her talk– a potted history from the early days before the war time evacuation, up to the efforts being made today to bring the Tyneham Story to the thousands of people that flock to this remote village every year.
