Dorset Archives Trust Activities

There are many ways you can help support the Dorset Archives Trust (DAT):

• Raising the profile of the Trust and the work of the Dorset History Centre, Become a Member
• Fundraising: DAT raises funds in a variety of ways, through events, by applying to funding bodies for specific project funds.  Individuals can make Donations or leave a gift in your will, Leaving a Legacy.
• Saving archives: Some of the funds are used through a Document Purchase Fund to acquire archives that come up for sale.  Individuals and organizations can donate their own archives and documents to the Dorset History Centre, Gifts in Kind.
• Supporting the work of the Dorset History Centre: projects and purchases of equipment with campaigns such as Sponsor a box and Document Purchase Fund.
• Events: In addition to the Annual General Meeting DAT holds four evening events each year with knowledgeable and interesting speakers who have an expertise in a topic relating to an archive held at the Dorset History Centre. A Summer Gala is held each year in July at a spectacular venue, Attend an event
